Infuz accepts 2019 Governor's Award for Historic Preservation



On May 7th, Infuz Ltd., Architects was awarded the 2019 Governor’s Award for Historic Preservation for the restoration of The Cadillac House in Lexington, MI. Presented by the State Historic Preservation Office the ceremony was held in the historic Michigan State Capitol Rotunda. The award celebrates distinctive historic preservation projects that exemplify Michigan’s uniquely characterized architecture.


Built in 1860, the Cadillac House is one of the oldest remaining hotels in the state. Its appearance has evolved over the last six decades, reflecting the needs and style of each period in time. In collaboration with the Roxbury Group/Cadillac House LLC, Artisan Contracting LLC, and Kidorf Preservation Consulting, the Cadillac House was restored back to its original grandeur.


Infuz Ltd., Architects and its affiliate company Virtuoso Design + Build will also receive the 2019 Michigan Historic Preservation Network (MHPN) Building Award for the Cadillac House for architecture and finish carpentry services provided respectively.
