At Infuz Architects, we specialize in creating custom homes that reflect the unique living styles and needs of our clients. For this project, we developed a two-structure composition where the boathouse serves as both a workspace and a recreational retreat, while the main house contains the primary living areas. This design maximizes the home’s connection to its scenic surroundings by incorporating direct access to outdoor patios and decks from every major living space.

To enhance the home's functionality, we integrated steps into the building footprint to create a series of intimate outdoor living spaces. These spaces are ideal for daily activities, but when combined, they offer the flexibility to host larger gatherings, offering both comfort and versatility.

One of the standout features of this lakefront home is its attached boathouse, complete with a three-car garage and two boatwells, providing direct access to the Great Lakes. This unique feature caters to both the recreational and functional needs of the client while maintaining a refined, architectural aesthetic.

The client envisioned a transitional style home that blends modern features with a timeless feel, so we created a prairie inspired design that emphasizes clean lines and expansive glass facade while maintaining a traditional proportion. The result is a home that feels open and airy, yet grounded in a sense of classic design.
