ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER: We are seeking an Architectural Designer who is passionate about architecture past, present and future. The applicant will focus on project coordination, architectural design, system schematics and construction documents and should have a solid understanding of construction detailing, basic building codes, design considerations and construction costs. This position will be remote, however ability to travel to the Detroit metropolitan area for site visits would be preferred. We offer full-time; part-time or flex-time as well as paid time off and a benefits package…and social junkets quarterly. Responsibilities: Develop a complete design of an architectural project from 3D conceptual design to final construction documents while coordinating with subcontractors and other departments to see the entire project from start to finish and ensure the work is being executed correctly, on time, and within the budget. Produce building plans using Revit. Produce 3D architectural drawings such as: floor plans, elevations, site plans, sections, details, and specifications. Present designs to clients, management or city officials for approval. Create cost estimates, material selections, project timelines, and other relevant information required for the actualization of a building project. Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives. Coordinate and develop construction documents and construction implementation for residential and commercial design & build projects. Perform other related duties as assigned or instructed. Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Master's degree is preferred. Preferred software - REVIT Rendering software - experience in Lumion, Photoshop, others a benefit but not required 5+ years experience that includes Construction documentation, coordinating consultants and clients and construction administration. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced office environment while maintaining a professional demeanor. Applicants will have strong verbal and written communication skills. Have demonstrated experience in areas of project management. Applicants must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
